With a career spanning communications, journalism and energy, Hamish has developed and delivered global media and PR strategies for clients across the renewables and oil and gas sectors.
Joining True North from integrated agency BIG Partnership, where he worked with the likes of Cerulean Winds, DNV and NSMP, Hamish has supported companies with a range of activities, including thought leadership, political engagement and crisis comms.
Prior to joining BIG in 2023, he spent over three years working for leading industry publication Energy Voice, where he covered a broad spectrum of stories and interviewed many of the industry's most influential figures.
Hamish graduated with an MA in Economics with Politics from the University of Aberdeen in 2017 and an MSc in Journalism from Robert Gordon University in 2018. He has also completed a specialist course in the Economics of Energy Transitions, again with RGU.
