# True North launches first tranche of its latest issues poll

True North has published the first tranche of its latest issues poll and we partnered with [Scottish Financial Enterprise](https://www.linkedin.com/company/scottish-financial-enterprise/) to create impactful thought leadership in today’s The Times.

There is overwhelming public backing for the role of financial services companies in supporting cultural and arts events which is hugely welcome given the backdrop of negativity of late.

Public finances are very stretched so the private sector can and should continue to play a key role in ensuring communities the length and breadth of Scotland are able to showcase our diverse and talented creative industries.

Sandy Begbie CBE FRSE, chief executive of Scottish Financial Enterprise, articulates this very point in [today’s paper](https://www.thetimes.com/uk/scotland/article/forcing-business-to-stop-supporting-the-arts-will-devastate-scottish-culture-v6c38hsjl) and his wise words, urging a common sense approach, should be heeded.
